Kirin Ichiban Shibori Together Under the Hanami Kotatsu

Hanami (花見, “flower viewing”) is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers, flowers are (“hana”) in this case almost always referring to those of the cherry (“sakura”) or, less frequently, plum (“ume”) trees.

A kotatsu (炬燵) is a low, wooden table frame covered by a futon, or heavy blanket, upon which a table top sits. Underneath is a heat source, formerly a charcoal brazier but now electric, often built into the table itself. It was released as a music video on YouTube on 25 August 2016, and has since become a viral video.
