Marshmallow Breakout

Kasou Taishou (欽ちゃん&香取慎吾の全日本仮装大賞; Kinchan and Katori Shingo’s All Japan Costume Grand Prix) is a semi-annual show on NTV in which various amateur groups (or solo artists) perform short skits, which are rated by a panel of judges. Especially in recent years, many of the skits have revolved around clever methods of “faking” cinematic special effects on a live stage. The most famous of these skits, and the most successful at “fake special effects” was a skit which is widely known as “Matrix ping pong”.

The marshmallow is a confection that, in its modern form, consists of sugar or corn syrup, beaten egg whites, gelatin that has been pre-softened in water, gum arabic, and flavorings, whipped to a spongy consistency. The traditional recipe used an extract from the mucilaginous root of the marshmallow plant, a shrubby herb (Althaea officinalis), instead of gelatin; the mucilage performed as a cough suppressant.

Breakout is a Pong-like arcade game introduced by Atari in 1976, with a follow-up, Super Breakout, appearing in 1978.

Nintendo Company, Limited (任天堂株式会社 Nintendō Kabushiki-gaisha) is a multinational corporation founded on September 23, 1889 in Kyoto, Japan by Fusajiro Yamauchi to produce handmade hanafuda cards. In the mid-twentieth century, the company tried several small niche businesses, such as a love hotel and a taxi company. Over the years, it became a video game company, growing into one of the most powerful in the industry. Aside from video games, Nintendo is also the majority owner of the Seattle Mariners, a Major League Baseball team in Seattle, Washington. They are also are the partial owner of the Atlanta Hawks, an NBA team in Atlanta, Georgia.

Wire-flying is a theatrical stunt which involves suspending an actor from from high-tension wires, normally with a harness concealed under the costume to simulate the action of flying or falling, especially in the presence of other actors. (When other actors are not in the scene, a visual effect would more often be used to simulate this for reasons of both safety and cost.)

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Traditional Chinese: 香港特別行政區 ), commonly known as Hong Kong (Chinese: 香港), is one of the two special administrative regions (SARs) of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), along with Macau. Comprising more than 260 islands, the territory is located on the eastern side of the Pearl River Delta, bordering Guangdong province in the north and facing the South China Sea in the east, west and south.

Final Fantasy Coca-Cola Commercial

Originally intended as a patent medicine when it was invented in the late 19th century, Coca-Cola was bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose marketing tactics led Coke to its dominance of the world soft drink market throughout the 20th century. Although faced with critiques of its health effects and various allegations of wrongdoing by the company, Coca-Cola has remained a popular soft drink to the present day.

Final Fantasy (ファイナルファンタジー, Fainaru Fantajī) is a series of computer and console role-playing games produced by Square Enix (originally Square Co., Ltd.). It is considered to be one of the most widely distributed video game franchises of all time, and includes standard console role-playing games, portable games, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game, games for mobile phones, three anime productions, and two full length CGI films. Unlike most game series, the separate installments bearing the “Final Fantasy” name are nearly always unconnected in terms of plot and gameplay specifics, and, thus, the installments are not sequels in the strict sense.
