Sumo (相撲, Sumō)(in Chinese callled “相扑”) is a competition contact sport where two wrestlers called rikishi face off in a circular area. The sport is of Chinese origin, popular in Japan and is surrounded by ceremony and ritual. The Japanese consider Sumo a gendai budō: a modern Japanese martial art, even though the sport has a history spanning many centuries.

Aya Matsuura Pretz

Pretz (プリッツ, purittsu) is a Japanese snack made by Ezaki Glico. It is stick-shaped and similar in texture to a pretzel (hence the name), but unlike the other popular Japanese stick-shaped snack food, Pocky, Pretz is rarely sweet. Popular flavors include salad, roast, tomato, honey mustard, corn, pizza, and butter. Special flavours can be found in other countries such as larb in Thailand, pineapple in Hawaii and maple in Canada. Chocolate flavoured is also found in local oriental markets.
